We all have so much stuff.
Okay, okay, now before you just dismiss this post like yeaaaah that girl’s crazy, let me explain.
We all have knowledge about one thing or another. We all have some form of material possession whether it’s the clothes on our backs or things beyond that. We all have stuff and it’s so easy to be really selfish with that stuff. It’s sort of like yes I have a lot but all of this is mine and not yours. Why is it so hard to be generous and to give people what we have? Why is it so hard to serve others even when we feel an inclination to do so?
I think sometimes we’re all a little scared. We don’t know if our generosity will be well received or dismissed. We don’t know if the people we serve will appreciate what we’ve done or if they’ll turn a blind eye to it. Here’s the thing though, I don’t think we should be scared to be generous. Even if the idea of being generous with the ideas or material possessions we have is intimidating, the feeling of sharing what is inside and outside of you as a person will outweigh any intimidation by far. I encourage you to try to be generous with your ideas and possessions this weekend. Try it out. See what it’s like. I promise it will be life-changing the more you do so.
